Scientific name: Loligo duvaceli / Loligo Japonica. In Spain, it is commonly called “Puntilla”. The Loligo duvacali is a cephalopod belonging to the squid family that can be found in the coast of India. And the Loligo Japonica belongs to the squid family that can be found in the coasts of Japan.
Fishing zone: FAO zone 51/61. The FAO 51 zone, is located in the Indian Ocean and extends from the east coast of India to the east coast of Africa, reaching the meridian 45 south. This area in turn is divided into eigth sub-zones. The FAO 61 zone is located in the Pacific Ocean and it goes from the northeast og the Russian Coasts to the Chinese sea, this is not divided into other sub-zones.
