Scientific name: IllexArgentinus. Commonly called as Argentine Squid. It is a mollusc belonging to the family of cephalopods. It is the most abundant squid in the Argentine sea and nearby fishing areas.
Origin: China.
Fishing zone: FAO 41/61.The FAO 41 zone is located in the Atlantic Ocean corresponding to the east coast of South America. This area in turn is divided into 11 sub-zones. The FAO 61 zone is located in the Pacific Ocean and it goes from the northeast og the Russian Coasts to the Chinese sea, this is not divided into other sub-zones.
